Silicon Metal

Metal silicon, also known as crystalline silicon or industrial silicon, is mainly used as an additive for non-ferrous alloys. Industrial silicon is also used as an alloying agent for demanding silicon steel, a deoxidizer for smelting special steel grades and non-ferrous alloys. After being processed by a series of processes, industrial silicon can be drawn into monocrystalline silicon for use in the electronics industry.

Product nature
The composition of metal silicon is mainly silicon, so it has similar properties to silicon. The properties of metal silicon are similar to those of germanium, lead and tin, and have semiconductor properties.
Product Usage
Silicon metal is used for the production of organic silicon, the preparation of high-purity semiconductor materials, and the preparation of alloys for special purposes.
(1) Production of silicone rubber, silicone resin, silicone oil and other silicones.
(2) Manufacture of high-purity semiconductors.
(3) Preparation of alloys.
