Qaenat steelmaking project and Completion of the main phase

One of the most important stages of the Qaenat steelmaking project has been successfully completed. In this stage, the testing and performance evaluation of the continuous casting section equipment, including the 6-strand casting machine and ancillary systems such as circular water coolers, was fully completed.

This massive project, managed by Iritech as the EPC contractor, is one of the largest industrial projects in South Khorasan. Despite challenges such as 17 years of delay and restrictions due to sanctions, this great achievement demonstrates the commitment and relentless efforts of the executive team, contractors and employers.

The continuous casting machine of this project, with an annual production capacity of 800,000 to one million tons of steel products, will play a key role in the country’s steel production chain. This project will not only contribute to the economic development of the province, but will also lead to the elimination of deprivation in the region and the strengthening of downstream industries by creating direct and indirect employment.
